The “Trans” Issue That Matters Most, to Catholics

Apparently it’s not transubstantiation.

by Evan Urquhart

in Catholic Stand, which publishes Catholic essays and creative non-fiction, an opinion piece by Steve Smith

This essay connects transgender rights with transhumanism, an unrelated, semi-serious strand of philosophical thinking which seeks to transcend human limits through technology and make people into sci-fi cyborgs.

The author sees transhumanism everywhere. It’s in trans people, yes, but also social media, remote payment options, and video games. He’s telling us to touch grass, basically. (Might want to take his own advice, there, we’re just sayin’.)
