In 2016, Donald Trump ran for the GOP nomination on a platform of being crueller than any other candidate to Latin American immigrants and Spanish-speaking US citizens, and won the primary. His bias against this ethnic group was so extreme he openly declared a Judge was incapable of objectivity, based purely on the Judge’s Latino ethicity.

Today, the Trump administration’s most rabid anti-immigrant partisan, Stephen Miller, is using lies about transgender people, sent through the mail in Spanish language postcards, to attempt to manipulate and suppress the votes of the same Spanish speaking citizens he openly and repeatedly targeted in words and policies.

Evil is a word that can be overused to the point where it loses its meaning. But, what else would you call lying to a group of people you want to exterminate about a second group of people, who you also want to exterminate, in the hopes of scaring the first group into voting for their own extermination?
